Monuments Should Not Be Trusted

Nottingham Contemporary
16 January – 04 March 2016

This publication was produced on the occasion of the group exhibition Monuments Should Not Be Trusted, curated by Lina Dzuverovic. The exhibition brings together over 100 artworks, music videos, TV art commissions, and material culture from Yugoslavia between the early 1960s and mid 1980s, and presents Yugoslav artists’ responses to the incongruities within the country’s unique third way, self-managed socialism.
