Forms of Education: Couldn’t Get a Sense of It
– book
(July 2016)
This book is, by design, unevenly hewn: stressing conflicts and frictions in art and education. This volume did not arrive pre-formatted: ideas are organized across a spectrum of academic, non-academic, poetic, technical, experimental, and narrative texts and art. While there are visions for alternative educational models here, and accounts from many who are building alternatives, we are not so delusional as to try to convince the reader to march down one absolute path or other. The variety of formats, the range of people and voices participating is in itself a possible strategy.
